Rocktober Update …

It was boys night out yesterday … as we headed over to the old Rosemont Horizon to see Van Halen. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a concert .. but, I always come prepared with ear plugs. The ringing in my ears a day later just isn’t worth it anymore. The place was packed, I haven’t seen that many people in a while .. it had to be near 16,000 by my guess. It was an older crowd as most of the youngsters don’t even have a clue who Van Halen is. David Lee Roth is clearly the star of the show and held the band together. It was the first time I’ve actually seen the legendary Eddy Van Halen do his thing on the guitar .. and he lived up to everything I’ve heard. The show itself was Ok .. I’m glad I didn’t drop $149.50 for a better seat and that’s not including your “convenience” charge of $14.00 per ticket. Don’t even get me started on the crooks that run that scam .. but, we managed to avoid those fees and went right to the box office that night and picked up some crappy tickets in the upper balcony for a mere $49.50 each. The crowd was peaceful .. no fights that I saw, so that’s a good thing. We usually get the one drunken fool next to us .. it never seems to fail. Last time I was at one of these events, WWE Wrestling .. I was ready to throw a guy over the rail because of his constant swearing. I think I wrote about that a while back. We finished off the night with a little Mc Donanld’s and I was still wide awake at 3:00am because I drank a little too much Coca Cola late at night.

The next few weeks are really busy with projects and shows. We’ll be up in Racine, Wisconsin this Saturday for two shows, you can check the Tour Schedule for details. I’ll try to get some pics from the road trip .. it should be fun time.
