The Frozen Tundra …

frozen.jpgThe past week or so I’ve been going back and forth to visit my mother at the hospital. The winter is very rough on her and a slight cold turns into pneumonia easily. She’s doing much better now .. although I did have to call the ambulance on Wednesday. She just got home from a week in the hospital and only days later it was time to go back. This time around she wasn’t even strong enough to make it out of her bedroom. It’s always pretty scary when this occurs .. but, she’ll bounce back fast.

In a little over a week I’ll be making the journey to a magic convention in Ohio. It will be nice to get away from all this for at least a few days. If all goes well, I’ll be packing up the Chezmobile and hitting the road. It’s an action packed weekend and I look forward to seeing my good friends … and even more important a stop at Skyline Chili.

January usually bums me out .. the weather can be a bit much. We did thaw out a few weeks ago and the temps were in the 60’s here in Chicago, breaking records set many years ago. They even had a few tornadoes about two hours away. Now were back in the single digits and this weekend it will be below zero .. wonderful. I must be catching something myself as I’m not feeling to hot. Of course I’ve got some shows on the weekend and somehow I have to pull it off. It’s not like I can call in sick .. when it’s your show. We’ve got some cool new projects I’ve been working on .. and you’ll see all that pretty soon. Until then stay warm … I know I’ll survive somehow.
