I’ve been trying to keep things on the up .. but for some reason, reading this blog is just a bummer. This weekend I lost one of my little buddies … Snuggles. She was one of the snakes that made frequent appearances in my show over the last ten years or so. Snuggles was a Red Tail Boa Constrictor .. and a beautiful creature at that. She really was the most docile of my snakes. I know many of you don’t understand .. but she too is one of God’s creatures. Snakes do get ill .. and Snuggles caught a cold she couldn’t fight off. I did everything I could do to save her .. including giving her a series of shots to fight the infection. Nothing seemed to help .. and she stopped eating months ago. We even tried force feeding her just last week .. but, I guess it was too late. I watched her slip away, in my hands .. she was tough right to the end. Her cage is empty now .. and it’s sad, I cared for her like a child. Now she’s resting peacefully wrapped in one of her blankets .. back to the earth she came from.
